St. William Cathedral, Sinking Bell Tower, and Laoag Capitol

After learning the history of Ilocos at Museo Ilocos Norte, we headed now to another church which is the Laoag Cathedral, also known as St. William Cathedral. It was built in 1612 by Augustinian friars to replace a wooden chapel, and is known for its Italian Renaissance design.

Just besides the church was the Sinking Bell Tower, which sinks into the ground at a rate of an inch a year..
