The Malacañang of the North is one of the 29 houses that the Marcos regime was able to build during its two decades of power..

This house is truly impressive. It combines both the Ilocano and Spanish architectural designs. Now managed by the Department of Tourism, entrance fees are P30 and P10 for adults and children respectively. It is open from 9am-11:30am and 1pm-4:30pm daily except on Mondays. Next on the list is the legendary Paoay Lake.

I'm truly impressed on the Malacanang of the North palace that turned into museum because despite the lapse of time, they were able to preserve the beauty of the place. Just few kilometers from the palace is the Paoay Lake, it is the freshwater system in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. It is located 3 kilometers away from the sea in Suba. The lake is composed of natural of fresh water, where over 300 crop farmers are provided with irrigation to supply water for their crops. Paoay Lake is locally called dakkel danum.

The most prominent feature of the municipality is Paoay Lake. Legend has it that it was the site of a barangay filled with wicked people buried under feet of water after ignoring the warning of a mysterious old woman who came to the place..

The Church is a unique combination of Gothic, Baroque and Oriental designs.
Known as the “Earthquake Baroque” church in the Philippines.

The long isle to altar.
Its bell tower, which is detached from its main building, is made of coral stone. It stands a safe distance away to spare the sanctuary in case of collapse.

At our back are the buttresses for support of church in case of an earthquake..

Before we proceed to our next stop we ate at Jollibee for lunch to have more energy. Then off we go to, Marcos Museum and Mausoleum
